TDM will be hosting a free, hands-on workshop on QLab, an interactive media software used by artists and designers to control and manipulate sound and projection content. It’s widely used in performance settings, especially theater. Led by Andy Russ, this workshop will introduce participants to the audio fundamentals of using QLab for live performance and sound design.


You’ll learn:
  -  How to set up and navigate the QLab workspace
  -  How to build and change sound edit audio cues
  -  How to add and manipulate sound content
  -  How to prepare for the show
  -  Tips and troubleshooting for production applications

This workshop is open to Harvard students interested in sound elements audio for live performance. No prior experience is required, and participation is free. QLab is free to download and use. Please note, QLab must be run on a Mac computer. If someone would like to participate but does not have a Mac, please let us know as we can make one available for the workshop. All participants should bring a Mac with QLab downloaded, installed, and successfully opened. Download QLab for free by clicking "Download Latest Version".
