DESCRIPTION:<drupal-media data-entity-type="media" data-entity-uuid="a44a9639-8e6b-4126-8942-45041c26a881" data-view-mode="hwp_medium" data-align="right">&nbsp;</drupal-media><p>TDM will be hosting a free, hands-on workshop on <span>QLab</span>, an interactive media software used by artists and designers to control and manipulate sound and projection content. It’s widely used in performance settings, especially theater. Led by <strong>Andy Russ</strong>, this workshop will introduce participants to the audio fundamentals of using <span>QLab</span> for live performance and sound design.</p><p><br>You’ll learn:<br>&nbsp; -&nbsp; How to set up and navigate the <span>QLab</span> workspace<br>&nbsp; -&nbsp; How to build and change sound edit audio cues<br>&nbsp; -&nbsp; How to add and manipulate sound content<br>&nbsp; -&nbsp; How to prepare for the show<br>&nbsp; -&nbsp; Tips and troubleshooting for production applications</p><p>This workshop is open to Harvard students interested in sound elements audio for live performance. No prior experience is required, and participation is free. <span>QLab</span> is free to download and use. Please note, <span>QLab</span> must be run on a Mac computer. If someone would like to participate but does not have a Mac, please let us know as we can make one available for the workshop.
