Admissions
There is no audition process to concentrate in Theater, Dance & Media. Students declare their concentrations in the fall of their sophomore year. For further information on the application and admissions process, please contact Harvard College Admissions.
Harvard emphasizes and offers a liberal arts-based curriculum, rather than a conservatory-style program. Students can take a variety of courses in a range of fields in addition to TDM courses. TDM provides opportunities to learn from faculty and visiting lecturers, as well as work with professionals through the TDM Productions. TDM also has a close partnership with the American Repertory Theater, with A.R.T. faculty teaching a number of TDM courses and advising students.
TDM courses are only open to enrolled Harvard students.
The Harvard Extension School may offer courses in dramatic arts.
At this time, Theater, Dance & Media does not offer any programs beyond undergraduate studies.
The A.R.T. Institute at Harvard University is graduate theater training at the award-winning American Repertory Theater (currently on hiatus). Please visit here for more information about the A.R.T. Institute.
In addition, the Harvard Extension School may offer courses in dramatic arts.
