Shimcheong: A Folktale is a musical adaptation of the Korean folk-tale 심청전 or 맹인 남자의 딸 (“The Blind Man’s Daughter”) about a brave young woman who will do anything it takes to return home.
When young Shimcheong dives into the vicious sea to save her father, she falls beneath the depths of the ocean to the magical Dragon Kingdom. 10 years later, Shimcheong sets out to escape, determined to do anything it takes to return home.
