TDM Artist Spotlight: Morgan Green

Each semester, we have the honor of profiling some of the incredible professional artists involved in our TDM productions. Our first artist spotlight this fall shines on Morgan Green! Morgan is the director for the fall TDM production, Cells. Check out more of Morgan’s work at MorganClaireGreen.com.

What inspires you as an artist and creative?Morgan Green, a White woman, looking serious with bleach blonde hair and hot pink blouse.

I take a lot of inspiration for my art from other artists. Music, movies, paintings. Once I am thinking about a project, I am in the world of the project all the time. If I ride the train I see a certain composition or relationship and it gives me an idea. I am always looking around for inspiration and sometimes I stare too much and embarrass my friends.

What excites you about Cells?

The play is an epic inter-generational memory that asks us to zoom in and out on certain details and revelations. I love how it moves.

Sam and I have been friends and collaborators for many years now and it's great to finally get to work on a fully realized production together. I love doing warmups with the cast before we dive into rehearsal.

What projects are you working on next?
