Music melts it.</strong> In this artist talk, Jace Clayton (also known as DJ /rupture) will discuss his recent work, which actively flows between these binaries. The talk will move from his roots as a DJ to his recent solo exhibitions, <em>The Great Salt</em> (Harvard Art Museums, 2018-2019) and <em>White Noise as a Call to Responsibility</em> (Nassauischer Kunstverein Wiesbaden, 2019-2020).</p><p>	<strong>ABOUT DJ /rupture</strong><br>Jace Clayton is an artist and writer based in New York, also known for his work as DJ /r<drupal-media data-entity-type="media" data-entity-uuid="37c6648f-c011-4508-bbc1-010b963dc5a4" data-align="right" alt="JC" data-view-mode="hwp_small"></drupal-media>upture. His book <em>Uproot: Travels in 21st Century Music and Digital Culture</em> was published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux. This fall his is teaching a seminar on interdisciplinary temporality in performance at Harvard University. Clayton’s exhibition <em>White Noise as a Call to Responsibility</em> is on view at Nassauischer Kunstverein Wiesbaden from August 23, 2019 through May 24, 2020</p><p>	 </p>
