DESCRIPTION:<p>	 </p><!--break--><p>	<drupal-media data-entity-type="media" data-entity-uuid="898afa52-715e-433b-bc64-795be4f1f5bd" alt="Coding for Artists" data-view-mode="hwp_full_width"></drupal-media></p><p>	Coding for Artists Workshop aims to help students create Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Interactive media art projects b<drupal-media data-entity-type="media" data-entity-uuid="adc546eb-7e34-455d-a8b6-231be90c83c6" data-align="right" alt="Coding for Artists" data-view-mode="hwp_small"></drupal-media>y introducing coding and its application in software such as Unity 2D/3D. It is the goal of the workshop to introduce the basics and logic of coding to the students who are unfamiliar with computer programming language. This will greatly enable many students to make use of the software to realize their ideas in these emerging media in class and beyond: Immersive Storytelling using Mixed Media. He created a series of multi-user VR projects at NYU’s Future Reality Lab, including Flock, which premiered at the Future of Storytelling Festival. Cosmic Sugar is an app available on Steam which allows users to create particle system driven light shows and art in VR. His recent work is focused on using new technology in the wellness space. He is a co-founder of “Luxury Escapism”, a digital art spa which will be opening in Brooklyn, NY this fall and produces commercial work with his production studio, Object Normal.</p><p>	Coding Workshop for Artists is supported by the Provostial Funds for the Arts and Humanities.</p>
