Concentrators are required to attend tech and production training modules as soon as possible after enrollment in the concentration and before their senior year. These modules equip students with basic knowledge of theater production and ensure their safety and that of others while working in and on productions. Training modules are open to potential concentrators, as well as those students wishing to gain more knowledge in theater production. Registration is required. Module: Producing
Learn about the process of developing a show from obtaining the property, rights and royalties, contracting, setting up the production company, raising money, creating a budget, engaging a creative team, and running the show. Learn about collaborations with creatives, management, marketing, operations, and venue. Involves studying current and recent Broadway shows.
