Concentrators are required to attend tech and production training modules as soon as possible after enrollment in the concentration and before their senior year. These modules equip students with basic knowledge of theater production and ensure their safety and that of others while working in and on productions. Training modules are open to potential concentrators, as well as those students wishing to gain more knowledge in theater production. Registration is required. Module: Scenic Production
This seminar will provide insight into the scenic roles and responsibilities of a production team, from Set Designer to Stage Hand. Theater architecture vocabulary will be covered. Scenic Production information/handouts will include scenic safety, construction, painting, props, labor estimations, and material choices.
