**Museums freeze time. Music melts it.** In this artist talk, Jace Clayton (also known as DJ /rupture) will discuss his recent work, which actively flows between these binaries. The talk will move from his roots as a DJ to his recent solo exhibitions, *The Great Salt* (Harvard Art Museums, 2018-2019) and *White Noise as a Call to Responsibility* (Nassauischer Kunstverein Wiesbaden, 2019-2020). **ABOUT DJ /rupture**

upture. His book *Uproot: Travels in 21st Century Music and Digital Culture* was published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux. This fall his is teaching a seminar on interdisciplinary temporality in performance at Harvard University. Clayton’s exhibition *White Noise as a Call to Responsibility* is on view at Nassauischer Kunstverein Wiesbaden from August 23, 2019 through May 24, 2020
